The Tiny Tiger program was developed specifically for preschool age children ages 4 through 6. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve children’s motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions. All classes are taught using the most safe, fun, and exciting instruction methods available for this age group. This program works in conjunction with the Karate for Kids program, thereby emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value system.
The rank and testing system used by the Tigers is slightly different than that of the Karate for Kids. The main goal of our Tiny Tigers is to graduate into the “Big Kid” class. Their ranks are a sign of their progression towards that goal.
Upon graduation from the Tiny Tigers program into the “Big Kid” program, Tigers are rewarded with a “Big Kid” rank of Orange, Yellow, or Camo Belt and will begin their road to Black Belt from there.
Karate For Kids
Our Karate for Kids Program is for children from ages 7 to 12. In addition to developing physical skills such as self-defense and improving general fitness, Karate for Kids also trains children in traditional life skills.
Just like in the Tiny Tigers program, Karate for Kids students are praised for outstanding performance in karate class, tournament competition, and for A’s on their school report card. Students also have the ability to become members of our A Team by earning straight A’s on their school report cards.
Our philosophy for the Karate for Kids program is “There are no bench-warmers”. We teach students that the only person they are competing with is themselves.
Karate for Kids members can choose their level of training through one of the two programs offered for children ages 7-12.
